
Leadership isn’t supposed to feel like a fight for survival—yet that’s exactly where I found myself. This space is where I unpack the reality of upward bullying: what it is, how it destabilises leaders, and why speaking openly about it matters.
My own experience sat at the crossroads of pressure from every direction—subordinates pushing up, leaders pressing down, and a system that should have supported and protected me instead of leaving me exposed. At times, it felt like a coordinated effort to ‘drown me’.
By sharing these stories, I hope to make the unseen visible and help others navigate their own storms with a little more clarity and a lot less isolation.
