Hi, I’m Julie:) My professional life has been shaped by more than three decades working across Organisation Development, Learning and Development, Leadership, Project Management, and Change Management. These fields have given me a deep understanding of how people, systems, and cultures interact—and what happens when those dynamics turn toxic.
I survived a prolonged period of upward bullying in the workplace, an experience that tested every part of my leadership, resilience, and identity. Emerging from that experience not only intact but thriving has fuelled my commitment to shine a light on this often‑hidden form of workplace harm.
Alongside my professional background, I’ve invested heavily in understanding the human side of work. I’ve completed studies in Mental Health at Work and continue to expand my knowledge as I work toward a degree in this field. My academic grounding in Organisational Development, combined with additional qualifications across leadership and change disciplines, allows me to explore upward bullying through both a practical and evidence‑based lens.
I’ve connected with leaders across industries and geographies who have faced similar challenges. I’m partnering with subject‑matter experts to deepen the research around upward bullying—especially in a world where workplace norms are shifting faster than ever. My goal is to build a space where we can share stories, learn from one another, and transform difficult experiences into growth, clarity, and renewed strength.
This blog is part of that mission. I’m grateful you’re here, and I’m looking forward to exploring this journey together.
